Well, it had to happen. Fox has bought the rights to a movie based on the Sims.
But there's SO many options for the movie to be based on. Is it going to be real life or animated? Is it going to be a drama or a fantasy movie?
I'm personally leaning towards someone getting caught in the game and rescuing Bella Goth, but that's probably because I have a teeny tiny crush on her and want her to be safe with her family again.
A person realizing that there is a greater force that is controlling their lives is a pretty good idea as well... What do you think?

I vote option one, it could be so cool like dramatic and stuff. It would be awesome becuz the person could suddenly realize they had to get a taxi to go anywhere and suddenly wet themselves a lot or something....

If we're talking about what they'll probably do, it's option three. If we're talking about what will make it most like the actual sims, it's option four. I think if they do make a sims movie, it'll be a bomb. Unless it's REALLY good and makes people who hate the sims go and see it. Maybe they'll do something like "The Will Wright Story" like inventing a huge empire from living on a nine to five job somewhere.

But what they realize is that they can scan their world in, because this is the most life like, real Sims game ever. And as they are playing this they are all of a sudden realizing is what they are playing on the game is having an effect on the real world. So in effect, through the game, they are able to control their world. It’s wish fulfillment, and obviously it turns against them."

I voted Op. 1. I like the idea, but even though option 1 appeals to me, I would feel like it would make the sims too...realistic and reflective....

I personally hate the idea of a sims movie. It just..no. That's worse than if they made a world of warcraft movie. Actually, they be on the same levels of bad.
