An entirely new forum, or a new segment to the forum we already have (like General Sims 2 Discussion, Chatter-box etc)? I was about to suggest the latter, seeing as the Future Expansions section doesn't really make sense now that it's not actually about future expansions.

Yes. Since its unlikely there'll be more expansions there's no need for future expansions.

I don't think making a new forum for TS3 is a good idea, since all the members here would have to register for a new forum. Better to have this forum in two sections.

How about a General Sims 3 Discussion, with all the TS3 threads moved there, then what remains of Future Expansions, Bon Voyage and The Older Expansions merged into a general expansions forum? It'd at least give 'best expansion'-type threads somewhere to go, because they don't really have a place at the moment and just sit awkwardly in GS2D, and we're probably going to get a few more threads along those lines when expansion news dies out.
A bit further into the future, Free Time could go in once discussion on that dies down, and then Stuff Packs once they stop making those (hardly anyone uses that one as it is) making for a general Expansions & Stuff Packs whirlpool sucking in everything around it and probably taking away the need for a seperate expansions category.
...but yeah, General Sims 3 Discussion seems necessary, seeing as the announcement stuff happens in... a week or so, I think?
(I get 'forum' and 'board' mixed up all the time. I still don't know which is which.)
Edit: On another organisational note, I've no idea where Sims Stories threads are supposed to go. There are a small few but they're just scattered indiscriminately with no real appropriate place to put them.

Non sims games I think. Maybe it should be renamed "other games".

But they aren't non-Sims games. Technically, they'd be most suited to Chatter-box, and that just doesn't make sense. (And The Sims 2 For Consoles still hasn't just been renamed to a more general console Sims forum for some reason. MySims!)

I guess they can stay...
Or if a mod has nothing to do, he/she may move them to the apropriate expansion forum.

For those who've just tuned in, Future Expansions just became The Sims 3 and The Sims 2 On Consoles blossomed into Simgames. Do not adjust your set.
I'll start moving threads around. What about future expansion threads that aren't directly about particular EPs, like speculative ones or false rumours? And the more general expansion-related threads I mentioned, like polls which cover all of them, do they have anywhere official they go... General Sims 2 Discussion, Older Expansions? And does Simgames cover different Sim-series too, like Sim City?

You know me moderately well.
*caresses 'move' function*

Oh, and almost entirely off-topic, but while I'm asking forum questions, what is Technical Help actually for? I always assumed it was for computer issues that weren't related to TS2, but I've noticed most of the threads in it are about Sims... if this is what it's for, what differentiates it from Questions & Help?

What if the Bon Voyage forum is made into future EPs and all the BV threads are moved to older eps?
