I call skipping class cutting (or snipping) and playing hookey usually means missing school for no reason...
And I do it rarely, but snipping is another story

I would love to skip classes. It seems so much fun! But I have no one to do it with! I need better friends...

I've never played hookie. In college it's more tempting though. I almost did several times my first semester(b/c all always left campus between classes & went to my b/f's house), but I always got an attack of conscience. lol

its probably better not to get in the habbit i suppose! i skipped almost every math class this year, which has made it a lot harder for me.

yeah that's true... you skipped that much? in my school, you're allowed to miss like 4-5 days, and then they'll drop you without notice. Some classes i've taken-- it was 2 days! plus you MUST show up on time the first day, or you lose your class. which bites because the parking is so bad, you have to get there 2 hours early or you have to park multiple blocks away and walk just to get there on time the first 2 weeks. *why do I like college again??* registering for classes is also really hard, I had to wait a year before I could acctually get into a math class! luckly now, all of my classes are preregistered.

I dont do it anymore, but in gr 2 i used to a lot. Today we had a speech festival thing while the rest of my class had maths. The festival was finished before our maths period was, so we walked around school for like, 15 minutes just to miss maths

I got I.S.S once for cutting and that time I wasn't even really cutting! lol..but when I do cut, I don't get caught. It's crazy.
My brother found out that I cut classes and he flipped out so I can't do it anymore. I used to do that a lot in 9th grade because of my stupid cousins but I'm much smarter now and I'm not trying to get into anymore trouble, lol.
The thing about my school is...the aids or whatever you call them "hall monitor ladies" are so strict! If you hug a kid in the hallway after the bell, they think you're cutting...if you walk passed this one lady in particular to go to the bathroom and she doesn't see your pass she flips out...I can't tell you how many times I got in trouble for my "insubordination". All because I'm not just going to sit there and let some lady yell at me for something I didn't do....
but other than that...i'm good

You don't have to be sick. It means to skip a day of school.

My school is wayyyy to strict about cutting class. They take attendence every class period, and if you cut class you get called into the office and the penalty is a 3 hour dentention.... to me its just not worth it

But now it's time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.

yeah, my high school was like that. Most people I knew just made up fake parents notes saying they had a doctor's appointment, lol.
