Re: The Sims 4: City Life Expansion Pack
I really, really, REALLY hope that they release toddlers with this pack, or in a free update at the same time. I miss the toddler life stage so much. I hope those little props are hints that they are coming soon!

Re: The Sims 4: City Life Expansion Pack
I've read on the official forums that the hints in Dine Out were left by an employee who is no longer with the company. Honestly, I'd be super surprised if they snuck toddlers in this EP. I want them back real bad but I don't see it happening. :/

Probably going to feature more decorative non-visitable locations for the city. Interesting how the name implies the city if Japanese where most cities have to be confined to a small island much like Sims 4 worlds have to be confined to a small map.

Honestly, I would also be surprised if they snuck toddlers in to this EP, they don't really fit the "City Life" theme.

Re: The Sims 4: City Life Expansion Pack
The city looks like a cool blend of Japanese and far east cultures, but unfortunately, a lot of it will most likely be just background decoration.
The Sims 3 will forever be the king when it comes to it's vast variety of both EA-made and player-made worlds.
I do like how EA has been giving us a neat blend of cultures in The Sims 4 though.

Figures EA leaves out shit that has no excuse for being excluded.
No wonder why they won "Worst Company in America" for 2 years in a row.

No wonder why they won "Worst Company in America" for 2 years in a row. No doubt! Right now it feels like they are actively trying to win that!

I'm glad I didn't jump and buy it. I blame it on work. Yay work! Cause it doesn't look that wonderful. ^^

Re: The Sims 4: City Life Expansion Pack
LGR's explanation of it being the same game, just with a new skin, seems pretty accurate. It doesn't look like it adds a lot of new, meaningful gameplay. I'm definitely going to wait for this EP to go on sale before I buy it. Heck, I'm considering boycotting buying anything new for TS4 until the toddler life stage is brought back!

Re: The Sims 4: City Life Expansion Pack
So um.... I was bored and what with having a weekend off so I bought it. I literally played it 7 hours straight yesterday and a few more today so I guess it's pretty entertaining. There are a few bugs though that make it bad but hopefully they'll sort those out. But there are neat things about it. I'm playing a family of four. Right now they're living in the Fashion district in a two bedroom apartment. Previously they were living in a two bedroom in the Spice district in the one that has the needs TLC trait. I kept getting rats and bugs and it was crazy! Plus they decided to have a second kid so I needed them to get a little more room. I'm a family player and while there's no toddlers (*sigh*) or anything specifically added for kids I have found they have been included a bit. They can play basketball and they can sing. I hope to make my couple's oldest child a singer. They can order food from the food stalls and they can play the keyboard. Their daughter has seemed to have a fun time playing in the city.
Anyways, I like the clothes. They're funky. Haven't really tried any of the new hairs though. I like a TON of the new objects. I should have taken pictures of their apartment! I actually like how neighbors you give apartment keys to pop in. I like how neighbors will ask to join you for dinner (or whatever meal time it is) or if you're doing something fun. I like that if I'm bored I can easily send my sims downstairs to check out what is going on at the center of their district.
Of course there are bad things... there's a few bugs like bad ones. Basically I can't go into build/buy if all my sims aren't home because if I do then it brings them home from work or school. Thus making promotions and getting money hard. Sometimes there are routing issues where I can't find a sim. And a lot of people having been losing babies due to a bug where the game places bassinets outside the apartment where players can't tend to them. I haven't had that one happen but I've been buying a bassinet and having my sim give birth.
