I don't plan on buying this EP either, but I'm interested to see what it looks like and get some info on it during the Live Broadcast on July 23. It won't change my mind, but I think it will be interesting to see what they are doing with it.

Okay I only just registered this in my brain but it only lets you go into the future... I thought this let you go to the past as well... Was that a thing before and they just changed it or have I just been slow on the news here?

Wtf. I thought this was a joke or something when I saw them hinting to this stuff on facebook.

They couldn't have picked a worse idea to end off The Sims 3 with, Into the Future looks terrible. It's the very first expansion pack (ever) that I have zero interest in.

I had pretty high hopes for this, considering how good the past 3 packs have been since Maxis came back into the picture. I'm assuming that EA moved all the competent/creative staff off to work on TS4 and left everyone else to finish up on this and Movie stuff because I refuse to believe that the same people who made University Life could have possibly failed this terribly.
Kinda depressing that TS3 is going to finish on such a flop after TS1 and TS2 ended on high notes with Makin' Magic and Apartment Life.

Start on a flop, continue on a flop, end on a flop. Seems to be appropriate to me. Let's hope that those wise people ARE on TS4. If it's good, they can let this pack be a flop, I wasn't planning on getting it anyway. Just make TS4 good PLEASE. :l

After watching the trailer, I still think Into The Future is a pretty weak concept, but I'll probably purchase it when it's on sale simply for the new items and plumbots.

Wow how negative you all are :wha:

This EP looks so damn cool! I've dreamed of an EP like this since The Sims 2. Always wanted it, but it was never created for TS2. This EP complete The Sims 3 series in my opinion. It is a good last-EP. Love it!

It is just how I imagined a futuristic themed EP. I didn't expect it to be that great so I was so excited after watching the trailer :dance2:

Can't wait 'till I get it!!

I don't even know if im getting this EP or not. Im not interested in it. But i guess it will have some nice features like always. Like the mall and Glass walls/floors. Probably good for builders like me. But gameplay wise i don't think it will be fun and im still saving up money for a PS4. So i think im going to pass both ITF and Movie stuff because they don't really interest me and i would rather get a PS4, BF4, Watch Dogs, AC:IV and DLC's for GTA V because all of them looks alot more interesting than this... :stare:

I just watched LGR's video on this and I definitely don't want it. Oh well.

Here's the video if anyone wants to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1MGZaL-XY8

Wow, I didn't even realise it has already been released.
I guess that's a pretty good indication towards my overall enthusiasm for the pack.

Huh, LGR liked it. Not loved but still. It doesn't seem horrible but I still probably won't bother with it. xD

To be honest it's not that bad, far from the worst of Sims 3 expansions. The little objects are nice and I really love the new Plumbots, they're are a lot of fun to create. The future worlds look really nice but nothing special other than all futuristic things.

Of course if you're looking for a more home-expanding expansion (excluding the 1 new job and the objects) then you're probably not going to like this.

Im downloading ITF right now. (TPB, because no i won't buy it!!! Never!)

And i will come back with my conclusion later. It looks like it has some cool new feature's for builders which im excited for, but otherwise it looks meh.

Gameplay-wise it definitely looks like one of those ones you'll never, ever use in regular play mode, like World Adventures or Showtime were. Probably even less than those 2, considering everything in CAS as well as buy/build mode are futuristic, metallic looking stuff that would look out of place in any setting other than the futuristic world.
Kinda depressing considering that TS1 and TS2 ended with two of the strongest expansion packs for their respective games and here TS3 is going out with a fizzle rather than a bang.

I will admit that I briefly considered buying this EP when I saw the future World because it looks so awesome. BUT since you can't actually LIVE in that world, it really isn't worth it. Like Lazy Gamer said, the outfits are ugly, the objects are just the same things with a futuristic look and the added gameplay isn't something that I would use in the Sims games I usually play so this EP really isn't worth it for me. Parts of it look cool, but I wouldn't use it enough to justify spending $40+ on it.

This expansion pack is probably one of the better ones they've released.
Still wish it were possible to travel to the past though.

Correct.

I find it so backwards that they talked up this idea with just 'Experience time travel with this expansion! Head to the future to see what awaits your sims! Or to the past and experience life with dinosaurs!" Something like that, either dinosaurs or medieval times (imo, it would make more sense and would have been easier to do medieval times because they've got an entire game based around medieval times, not only that but the neighborhood they released on the store too.

The plumbots look really cool. I kinda want to try this to try them out. xD But I still think I'd probably lose interest in this expansion pretty quickly..
