I don't see a formal place for introductions, or I would have done an intro post. This looks like a cool community - I'll have to check it out and get to know you guys. :)

I've noticed that other people are putting their legacy stories directly into their posts - I hope it's okay to link to mine at my blog.

In the Valley of the Sun

Lilith Parker is working at the local paper, announcing births and birthdays and deaths. One morning her boss Shannon gives her a more exciting assignment – research the local haunted house and write an article on its history.

But then Shannon turns up dead the next day, the local townspeople seem intent on keeping the story of the haunted house a secret, and Lilith is being haunted herself. Will she survive?

There's the long list of updates, or the Story Index or clicking on Beginning and then clicking the Next link on each update. :)

Hi guys! :) Thanks for the welcome.

Also thanks for the compliments on the story. :) It will be a legacy. Eventually. After the prologue I'm going to put a fresh out of CAS copy of Lilith down on a legacy-approved lot. I just have to explain how she gets there first. :)

Awww, thank you. :) That really means a lot, since writing is what I love and what's important to me.

I've taken a few shots for the next chapter and will be experimenting with some stuff tonight - hopefully I can have the next update out within a couple of days.

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much guys!

I'm taking pictures for the next update now and plan to spend most of the day working on it, so hopefully it'll be out in a couple of days.

Your comments really really mean a lot to me - like I said, it's always been my dream to be a writer. And you guys have given me the inspiration and confidence to do it.

When Valley is finished, I'm going to take it and rewrite it as a text-only story and start looking into how to try to get it published. The end result may end up looking nothing like the Sims story, since significant bits of the plot are built around things in the game and will need to be changed and of course at the end I'll be able to go back and flesh it out a lot more and add in themes and characterization and stuff that I don't see now but will see by the time it's through.

I imagine the main character will still be Lilith, though. I am so thoroughly in love with her.

Thank you all, from the bottom of my overflowing over-emotional heart. Now back to work on the next update.

Tyirannoss - Here you go, have fun. :) I'm not sure how much I like it, though.

Trainwreck - Thank you for both the compliment and the welcome! :)
