Pretty sure it depends on where you put camera/sim routing. Make sure to patch up those holes!

Wow that's so weird that they made half of the island and the other half is the distant terrain object thing. Seems like it would take more time and effort than make the whole island one or the other would be... :/

Okay, I removed the laundromat because it was rather pointless and I really needed the extra space for one of the newer lot types, then swapped the diner with the empty lot next to it and built a little cafe/java hut!
Spoiler:

I'm loving the new decorative building elements added in one of the patches!

Image
I've painted this whole block segment (as well as some other areas around the town) with a custom concrete terrain to make the central business area look more seamless and it's definitely helped a lot. I'll use some more CaW terrain trickery to make that long driveway running behind the 2 buildings looks seamless as well.

Image
Added a kitchen to make it look more realistic as well as a food register so sims can buy meals as well as coffees.

Image
Some booths, arcade machines and a small stage upstairs.

I also made a small hidden tomb lot up near Simhenge and put the Gypsy's caravan there.

And finally, an updated map image.

The Arbetoreum and Vault of Antiquity rabbithole objects can easily be located on the Supernatural Hangout and Elixir Consignment Store lots, so there's only 2 more Supernatural buildings needed which can both be located away from the central area. I still have to squeeze in a bowling alley and a comic book store somewhere, though. If I can squeeze in a smaller laundromat that would be an added bonus, and it would be nice to have a general hangout-type lot with a pool table and skeeball and stuff that came in random expansion packs but don't have a home yet in another building.

I still haven't found a new home for the criminal career lot, either.

This is absolutely awesome! I hope you finish it. Sunset Valley has always been my favorite as well, and I've been trying to mess with things too to get it to work, but i'm really awful at the World Editing stuff, so your stuff looks amazing! Great job! I hope you can integrate the Paradise pack stuff into it too!!

So I moved the art gallery from the center of town to a new spot near the beach...

...and there's so much free space now!

I'm gonna wait until Island Paradise is released before I start building in the empty space in case it comes with a new community lot type or rabbit hole that needs to be close to everything else but if it doesn't I'll put a bowling alley/arcade and a comic book store down.

Draik, I'm not sure if you knew this, but those two lots in your first pic that look funny in low detail mode can be fixed by deleting the lot(s) in CAW and redrawing them, then plopping them back down in EIG (save them to the bin prior). It's also helpful to have the routing paths showing so you can get the lot down exactly where it was before.

I don't have island paradise but I heard on the grapevine that the underwater lots are restricted to the new EP town. I hope there is a way around that so you can stick them in the ocean here Draik :/

The Supernatural EP has a Theater/Criminal combo rabbit hole, the "Deja View Theater". the rabbit hole is 17x 26 tiles which is just two tiles longer than the Base Game version.

If you delete part of the wall near the beach you'll have some room for a couple extra lots, might be good for resorts.
