I love this! Thanks for posting the link!

The announce pregnancy is a great new interaction and I love all the little cute things that go into the pregnancy process. I couldn't possibly want the game anymore right now :ohyeah:

im really interested to see what happens when "dislikes children" sims get pregnant, perhaps this gives them a bad moodlet and their baby ends up with bad traits because of it. apparently mortimer only has 2 traits as a child and one of them is grumpy, perhaps his mother dislikes children.

at least theres the midlife crisis reward so a sim that "dislikes children" can alway lose the trait :spin:

GREAT blog. TSR are brilliant at giving us the information we so dearly desire in an easy to understand and enjoyable read.
It was real 'pregnancy' heavy too, which a lot of Snooty Simmers will be happy about I think.
Super pleased about how independant our simmy creations will be - The joy about this game is that the childhood wish of seeing our dollshouse come alive is completely realized. The Sims 2 was great, but when left to their own devices they'd choose the damn swingset over anything remotely normal :banghead:

Offtopic: I was a bit surprised, but I goosebumped up after thinking about making random sims. As I thought about my strange reaction I realised that in actual fact, random sims in the Sims 3 are going to be sooo much more tangible than how it was in the Sims 2 due to traits and unique physical appearance (if I recall correctly, randomising in the Sims 2 only effected the looks of a sim, not the personality; which you had to change yourself)

Is anyone else planning on playing a randomised character, just for pure thrill?

Agree. This article is great. It's what I want to hear so far. It explain continuously like a fluid from creating a sims, picking the new house, see how your sims automatically life when enter the house, the next step off course finding a job, or trying to get social interaction, etc. Reading this article is like me, myself playing the game from beginning and try to uncover The Sims 3 what it looks like. Rather than single part of information and we need to combine it together by our own imagination.

I think I understand a lot now. About what it look like if we play the game. But I'm still curious with the need/motive bar, how it work from the eye of the player.

Yes that blog was awesome! That is the kind of thing i like to read about the sims 3, and in the perspective, of them telling us what their sims did. I'm soooo excitied for all the new pregnancy stuff! Something i cant wait for it the 2nd generation, and the new mother or father announcing the pregnancy to their parents, that they are going to be grandparents! So cool! =D
