Sometimes, but no aging, no memories, no wants/fears - seams kind of pointless.

I agree with PerfectPet, it is kind of pointless.

OMG. You really like having the game boss you around and doing whatever your sims want you to do. And if you do not play it like that, then sims could into aspirational failer and have a metal brakedown? Yeah, that is real fun.
Come on now. That took away the whole purpose of the Sims. The purpose was to set your own goals and not the goals of your sims. You decided what your sims wanted, meaning you could play them how you wanted to play them? You make your own characters and what they want.
So truth be told, having aspirations or wants/fears seems kind of pointless. Although you are correct about aging. That part is cool, but memories, if they was like sims memories events in their lives that you create. Now that would be a complete different story.

well maybe they should have added the option for you to add new memory, and then type in the memory for them?
and i sometimes like the aspirations...
unless its one of my pleasure sims who just wants to be a whore and ask everyone on dates and its just like jeeze give it a rest woman.
(and i never do downtown dates anymore, to much loading. i just bring the bowling alleys and karaoke, and photo booth to the sims house)
oh and also it would be more godlike to have them have there own wants and fears like i'm sure gods up there saying stop sleeping around you floozy but he can't stop you from doing it cuz its wat you want.
but then again real life is slightly more complex than sims life but yea.

you can make their own memories by taking pictures and it is possible to just ignore the wants and fears.

How shadowsim? I just tried that with a plant sim and his aspiration meter is in the red. Anyways, could someone please tell me where to find that program?

not literally. you take pictures of important parts of their lives and look back at them. it doesn't affect the aspiration, i just fulfil a want or 2 to stop them freaking out.

Well I know that. But you still cannot create your own memories that will be in the memories section of the selected sim. And why do I have to complete any wants, how about none?

Yep.
I like TS1 and I have all the EPs installed. TS2 is too slowed down on my computer, so I'm waiting to get a new computer soon to play it properly. And, of course, to get all TS2 EPs installed (have only UNIVERSITY).

 Sims 1 - Still good !
I know this is going to sound sad but I love playing ts1. TS2 on my PC is soooooo slow but ts1 isn't, its just great !
I don't like the fact that when the sims get miserable they won't practice speeches or get jobs so sumtimes I use cheat codes or sumtimes I put arcades/enjoyable actions outside their house to raise their spirits ! Also when sims have to shower/bath & other sims want to have one I put an extra bath/shower outside & have a laugh watching the sim outside telling sims walking down the lane to move on !!
At the mo I'm been trying to get my sim a partner from downtown, I was almost lucky once but the guineau pig partner decided to leave my sim on their own which annnoyed me..
Anyway I'm more on Sims 1 than Sims 2 - Hurray 4 Sims 1 !!
